Onnam loka mahayudham review

Onnam Loka Maha Yudham is a good attempt to make a thriller with female lead. Even though the film may not succeed to answer all the questions it raised in your mind; it will definitely perplex you for good and bad.

The Aparna Gopinath starer is directed by Sreevarun. Background scoreof the movie by Govind Menon is impressive.

Aparna Gopinath play the role of Tara Mathew IPS, who is with a troubles past and service record. Tovino Thomas play the role of Dr. Jacob who is a corrupt doctor involved with drug deals.

Dr. Jacob has an on going deal with Chettiyar exports. In the mean while his family is kidnapped by Anirudhan(Jojo) and gang who push the doc to double cross Chettiyar. Inevitably doc inform police and go to Anirudhan.

As a duty bound officer Tara set out in chase for Dr. Jacob. In order to get the full picture she board his car in disguise.
They are followed by Althaf (Chemban Vinod) sent by Chettiyar.

Now begins the cat and mouse chase between police and different groups of criminals. In some points Tara use her hold to go through barriers.

The movie do hold suspense and keep you on the edge at least for some moments. Yet at the climax you may not say wow!

The stunts were good even though unbelievable. In the technical part editing(Sreejith) and camera work(Pappinu) are exceptional and suits a thriller like this. They also dared for some experiments.

Performance by Aparna once again show that she has talent.

The movie looks like beginning of a trilogy. Hence unanswered questions may be answered in future. With that hope you can watch this movie.
