Kasaba Malayalam Movie Review

Kasaba is a 2016 Indian Malayalam-language thriller film written and directed by Nithin Renji Panicker the son of screenwriter-actor Renji Panicker, starring Mammootty in the lead role, along with Varalaxmi, Neha Saxena, and Jagadish in supporting roles. The music is composed by Rahul Raj.

Film Plot is Mammootty plays an arrogant police officer named Rajan Zakaria who has a negative shade in his total attitude. He happened to come to a village named Kalipuram at Kerala-Karnataka border to investigate the death of the son of a senior officer played by Siddique. Siddique’s son and his future wife reported to be dead in a maoist attack, but the characters played by Mammootty and Siddique had their own doubts.

Kasaba is a perfect treat for the Mammootty fans and mass movie lovers. The first half of the movie is extremely racy, engaging, and filled with some exceptional one-liners. The interval cut is also impressive.Screen space of Mammokka and Performance of Siddiq was terrifc.Double meaning dialogues sometimes was very much over the par and that dialogues may sometimes make Kasaba avoidable for familes in coming days.

Director Nithin Ranjipaniker shows glimpses of his father is few scenes but Nithin’s cops don’t speak long.Sameer Haq’s extraordinary visualisation creates the most suitable backdrop for the racy mass entertainer.BGM of Rahul Raj is heavy energetic.The major highlights of the movie are the remarkable one-liners.
