Fireman Malayalam Movie Review

Fireman Malayalam Movie Review

Fireman is a failed mission. Written and directed by Deepu Karunakaran and
Produced by Milan Jaleel, Fireman claims to be the first Malayalam movie to film the life of fire-fighters.

Mammootty play the role of lead fireman Vijay. Who take charge as his senior fall prey in a mission.

Movie begins with Salimkumar’s character losing his daughter who is a cancer patient when he left her on a Car. Then the grieving father goes to the Police station only to receive ill treatment by Police. In turn an accident involving him will result in leakage of a fully loaded LPG bullet tanker.

Then on the movie is a class on fire and safety lead by Mammootty. Director miserably failed to hold the story together as many times logical sequences are lost. Which are just highlighted by loops of mistakes like starting vehicles in gas spread danger zone, which are frequented in the movie.

Graphics and other technical parts fail to give a feel of danger. Even though the background score by Rahulraj was impressive, it failed to create emotions as visuals and story had no direction.

Nyla Usha play the role of Sherin Thomas IPS and Unni Mukundan play a fellow fireman Shajahan. Who don’t have much to do other than saving a chicken and bluffing a couple of dialogues. And for me Salimkumar and his character was most disappointing.

Late into the second half, the twist in the story give you false hope of redeeming the film. Finally movie ends without any solid conclusions.

If you are looking to learn more about the firefighting through entertainers better download a fireman game rather than watching this movie.
