Iyobinte Pusthakam – Preview

Fahadh Faasil will co-produce the upcoming movie ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’, directed by Amal Neerad. Now, the director himself has announced that his film, a big budget multi-starrer, will be a period love story. Fahadh Faasil and Isha Sharvani, both of whom were part of the directors earlier project, the anthology Anchu Sundarikal, will play the lead couple. This will be the second period film for Fahadh, after Amen.

Each character will be equally prominent in the film, says Amal. The film will span the period from the 1910s to the 1970s, but the focus will be on the 40s. It will reflect the socio-political situation of the age, but wont have any political undertones.

‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’, will be a big budget movie. Confirming the news Amal said “Fahadh will co- produce the movie along with me. Since ‘Iyobinte Pusthakam’, is a big budget movie, financial constraints were there. But Fahadh was keen to take up the project and step forward to produce it.”

Reportedly, the movie that spans the period from 1910s to the 1970s will reflect the socio-political situation of the age.

Fahadh and Isha Sharvani will do the lead. Lal, Jayasurya, Padmapriya, Reenu Mathews, Lena, Sarita Kukku, Vinayakan, Chemban Vinod and Jinu Jose are also part of the cast.The film will be shot in Ootty, Munnar, Vagamon and locations outside of Kerala.
