Cousins Malayalam Movie Review

Cousins is the story of four young guys who are bonded not only by blood but also by passion and love for each other. This film is written by Sethu and directed by Vysakh. It is produced by Vaishak Rajan.

Kunchacko Boban play Sam suffering from partial memory loss. Jorji (Indrajith Sukumaran) on doctor’s advice bring up the leisure trip for the betterment of Sam. They are joined by Pauly (Suraj Venjaramoodu) and Tony (Joju George).

As promised by trailers the group is a firebrand and embark on a journey full of fun. On the way to Sam’s old college in Karnataka he start getting nightmares from some forgotten incident. And eventually reach a palace where almost everyone know Sam.

Second half is about their search for the past and how life changes for each of them.Nisha Agarwal as Mallika and Vedhika as Arathi did justice to their roles. Yet the plot becomes very much predictable towards the end.

The music by M. Jayachandran and background score by Gopisundar are excellent and is augmented by sound effects by Mukesh. Cinematography done by Shaji is well supported by Mahesh Narayanan’ editing.

Costumes are typical to palace movies as well as the art crefted by Joseph Nellikal.

This movie will offer you some moments to laugh as well some nice fights directed by Mafia Sasi.

Even though not as gripping as Seniors, Cousins is also a promising entertainer for Holidays.
