Chirakodinja Kinavukal Movie Review

Chirakodinja Kinavukal written by Praveen S and directed by Santhosh Viswanath belongs to a genre unknown to Malayalam before. Almost whole of the movie is narrated from familiar scenes from hit Malayalam movies. Producer Listin Stephen took another bold step in the industry.

The movie is intertwined between an imaginary story and the real one. Tailor Ambujakshan (Sreenivasan) is in a Five star hotel to tell the story written by him to a director and producer.

And he start to narrate the famous story of Love between Thayyalkkaran ( Kunjakko Boban) and Virakuvettukaran’s daughter Sumathi ( Reema Kallinkal). In Ambujakshan’s story Thayyalkkaran is no more a poor chap but son of a Business magnet who just want a different life. Also Virakuvettukaran (Joy Mathew) is a feudal lord.

The love between the Tailor and Sumathi run into trouble when a Gulf – Karan and a UK Karan enter their love equation.

Movie show the twists and turn in Ambujakshan’s story as well as in his life. As the story gets closer to climax you will also be eager to know what’s up next.

Jokes in the film are very much successful as many of them are satires on Malayalam film industry. Definitely film offer some surprises than you may expect in the beginning.

Camera by Vaidy and editing by Mahesh are good. The music by Deepak Dev is just mesmerizing.

Even though the first half lags a bit this movie is watchable for sure.
