Sibi Malayil is the director who has created some of the best ever movies in Malayalam. Thaniyavarthanam, Kireedam, Dasharatham, His highness Abdulla, Bharatham, Kamaladalam, so goes the list of movies directed by the veteran director. The movies also invariably contributed a great deal to the best time of the Malayalam movie industry.
Sibi Malayil’s career began as an Assistant director before starting off as an independent director in the mid 80s. During 80s and 90s, Sibi Malayil-Lohithadas duo as director-script writer created some of the evergreen hits in Malayalam.
Sibi Malayil is also the current president of the Film Employees' Federation of Kerala.
